A Creatively Helpful Contest this Weekend! **NEW DUE DATE**
In September, 2007, Scrapbook and Cards Today magazine launched the “Bring a Smile to a Child” campaign in time to support Canada’s Scrapbooking Crop for Kids. They asked paper crafters everywhere to make and donate birthday cards, which they then distributed to Children’s Hospitals across Canada. Their goal was to ensure that each hospitalized child received a card from hospital staff or caregivers on their birthday. Well, the campaign was SUCH a success that we decided to continue it throughout 2008. We have now collected over 1,000 cards, and we are still going strong.
Your challenge this weekend is to create a MINIMUM of ONE card using the sketches below for the SCT's "Bring a Smile to a Child" campaign.
To receive a ballot for the randomly drawn prize, all you have to do is:
- send a photo/scan of your card(s) to sosketchy@live.com
- put "SCT Card Contest" in your subject line
- photo must be under 300kB
- you must include the following info: your full name and email address
- each card gives you one ballot into draw (ie: 3 cards = 3 ballots)
- cards must be birthday themed
We'd love you to donate your cards to the cause (not necessary but we'd love your help!) by sending them to:
"Bring a Smile to a Child"

139 Church St.
Markham, ON
L3P 2M2
*** If you include a photo of your cards with an envelope addressed to SCT, I will add DOUBLE the ballots with your name on them for the draw. ***
Cards are due: Thursday July 31st at 11:59pm EST
EDITED: New Due Date: Thursday August 7th at 11:59pm EST
Check back to the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog on Monday. I will be featured on the blog with one of my sketches and an example made from some of the goodies the blog is giving away on Freebie Friday (July 25th).
Hope you'll come check it out!
