For her page, Tonya flipped the sketch and used the double photo space for her focal photo. She also created a mat to ground her main focus on her 12x12 page. I just love all the frilly, girlie goodness of this sweet page! Gorgeous page Tonya!

I love how Cherie has taken the circle from the sketch and used the flower shape instead... it just goes too well with her niece's cute photos! Cherie's taken the strip of patterned paper and scallop and spread it across her layout to take your eye in and out of her page. Super cute page Cherie!

Jana has taken the entire 8.5x11 sketch and miniaturized it and plunked it down off center on her 8.5x11 page. She also taken the strip of patterned paper and the scalloped detail right across her center point. Fabulous and fun page Jana!

Jana has used one of the Creative Chaos journaling dots for her journaling and also one of the kraft tags to document her photo details on. Love that scalloped edge to match the scalloped details on her page.

Please reduce the size of your image to below 150kB.
Please include your name and title of your creation in your attached email.
Please identify what sketch numbers you used for your creations.
Please put "April Sketch Contest" in your subject line.

APRIL CONTEST DUE DATE: All creations are due by the 4th of the following month. (ie: April sketches due May 4.) You will win a prize from this month's sponsor, Creative Chaos and some goodies from me as well.


MAY GUEST DESIGNERS CONTEST:
I'm looking for TWO May guest designers. I'm looking for a card guest designer AND a page guest designer.

You will each be responsible to create 2-5 projects using the 2 sketches provided.

April Sketch: Shaped Card

Since Easter is around the corner, I thought an egg shaped card sketch might be in order for today....


Make a Wish

Dawne created this card by using the egg shaped sketch and rounding it out a bit. She stretched the focal rectangle to accommodate her greeting and her cute little cupcakes! A super sweet card Dawne!

Dawne used one of the graphic jotters from Creative Chaos as the base of her focal area. Very clever use of a journaling jotter!

Dawne also used some of The Cutting Cafe printable stamps from last month's sponsor as part of her greeting.
