Guest Designer: Julianne McKenna-De Lumen

I'd like to introduce you to this month's guest designer, Julianne McKenna-De Lumen.

Julianne McKenna-De Lumen

Julianne's blog: Jules, the Bling Princess

My name is Julianne McKenna-De Lumen (otherwise known as Jules). I live in warm and sunny Brisbane, Australia (while wishing I could be somewhere cold and snowing). I have only been scrapbooking for 3 ½ years. I have two darling daughters, Malayla and Keana, both willing subjects for my endless photos and scrapbooking. You will find that they feature in most of my layouts. Due to my love of bling, my girlfriends have nicknamed me “The Bling Princess”. You can find more about me on my blog: http://julestheblingprincess.blogspot.com/

I am a design team member for both Blossies and Aussie Pub Calls Roadmaps.

In my spare time (not that I have much of that), I go to the gym, read (love the Twilight series and most science fiction/fantasy genres), go to the movies, learn karate with my daughters and husband, and enjoy traveling (anywhere, anytime).

For me, it is a huge thrill and honour to be a guest designer for So Sketchy! So, a big thank-you for having faith in me. I hope I can inspire you to let your creativity flow.

Here's is the first sketch that Julianne had to work with:

Pose
by Julianne McKenna-De Lumen

I just adore all of the paint and pen work Jules has added to her page. She has used the sketch to a "T" but she's added a bit of her own style to it. I live the use of the paper and ribbon together for the strip down the middle of her page. A great use of the sketch!

Loved
by Julianne McKenna-De Lumen

For this page Jules has flipped the sketch and has her 3 photos on top instead and it looks fabulous! She's used a fun shaped journaling page for her story and her sweet cluster of flowers is the perfect touch to this fabulous girlie layout! Wonderful page Jules!

stay tuned later this month as Jules brings us a few more sketch creations!

Guest Designer: Jen Benoit

Today I'd like to introduce you to our June Guest Designer, Jen Benoit.

Jen Benoit

Jen's Blog: Life As I See It

My name is Jennifer Benoit; Jen, if you please. I live in South-Western Ontario where I'm currently a stay at home mom to one spunky two-year old. He is the subject to of most of my projects. He's also the only one who doesn't mind a camera in his face every day. I discovered scrapbooking in October 2007 and made my first layout the following month. I'm so glad to have found a creative outlet that also allows me to preserve my memories and display my pictures.

Here's the fun sketch that Jen used to create some pages to show you:

J'Adore
by Jen Benoit

First off, Jen took the circle aspect of the sketch and made her base sketch shape. I love the fact that she took the oval from the sketch and made into another place to put a mini photo. Simply a wonderful page Jen!

Angel
by Jen Benoit

For this page, Jen rotated the sketch and used the sketch on it's side. I love her layered ribbon and paper for the strip down the center of her page. Another stunning page Jen!

Stay tuned this month for another sketch creation from Jen!

My name is Tracy Schultz and I live in Hamburg, New York (a suburb of Buffalo). I'm an IT specialist by day and crafter by night. I've been married to my husband for three wonderful years and we have a pet cockatiel and one dozen angry fish.

Guest Designer: Pearl Liu

Today I'd like to introduce you to our May Guest Page Designer, Pearl Liu.

Pearl Liu

My name is Pearl and I'm a SAHM to 2 wonderful children, living in Sunny Singapore. I first started scrapbooking after my wedding in 1993 , without using any acid free products. There were very few acid free products available then here . Needless to say, that album is now yellow with age ! After the birth of our daughter in 1995, I started cardmaking via punchart and acquired the tools , punches and papers in the hopes that they would be useful for my kids at the right age. Well, I'm still the main user of all that product and tools! From 2006, onwards ,there was such a shift in products available in the papercraft industry and I started using more scrapbooking products in my cardmaking. Magazines and on-line galleries were full of inspiration, so by October 2006 I started scrapbooking again and have never looked back since.

Here's the first of the sketches that Pearl used....

Stylista
by Pearl Liu

I love how Pearl really played up all the different squares on her page. She's made each square and unique. I love all the vibrant colours she's used to capture your eye! Wonderful page Pearl!

Stay tuned as later this month, we'll have another sketch creation by Pearl!

March Guest Designer - Rebecca Ednie

For March, I asked the talented Rebecca Ednie to join the So Sketchy Sistas in creating some inspiration for the blog. Here's a little introduction to Rebecca and her work using her personally designed card sketch.

Hi! I'm Rebecca Ednie. I am so excited to be the guest designer this month! It is such an honor! I am a SAHM of two lovely little boys; Jameson age 8 and Spencer who is not quite two. My hubby Tim is a paramedic with the fabulous city of Toronto; we live in a suburb about 40 minutes away. I am/was a RN but I no longer practice due to having lupus which makes even part time work too strenuous. So I fill my days with sweet children's laughter along with lots of paper crafting and stamping! I used to be a Stampin Up! Demonstrator but I'm a much better teacher than saleswoman! So I teach sewing, including bra making, as well as paper crafting of all sorts in my home. I'd love to be on some more design teams so if you are looking for someone, check out my blog. I hope you enjoy my work!
