December Sketch #15: 8.5x11

A fun and simple 8.5x11 sketch today...

Best Buddies
by Jennifer Stevens

I have had the honour of knowing Jenn for almost 2 years now and had the pleasure of working with Jenn as part of the Sweet Pea Designs design team. Jenn has also sponsored the So Sketchy Sista's twice in the last year with which I am so thankful to her and awesome talent of creating fun journaling jotters at Creative Chaos. I just love the way that she always looked at my sketches with a new light and took them and made them her own.

Make sure you check out Jen's Etsy shop, Creative Chaos. Wonderful page girl!

A BIG Thank You!

A HUGE thank you to our sponsor, Creative Chaos this month for supplying our entire design team with some awesome journaling jotters and fun tags to use and showcase.

You too can win some fabulous Creative Chaos goodies for yourself by participating in our September Sketch Contest. See details here! You only have a few days left.

Thanks again Jennifer!

September Sketch: 8.5 x 11

Your final sketch of September....

Berries
by Zoe

I love Zoe's warm and beautiful layout! I love she has taken the circle element and then repeated it again at the bottom of her photos. She's written her journaling on one of our sponsor, Creative Chaos' journaling jotters and she's also added a love note on one their tags just below her bottom photo. Fabulous page Zoe!

Merry Memories
by Nicole

Nicole has taken the sketch and stretched it to fit a 12x12 page. She's also taken the bottom photo and made it into three individual photos. Clever! I love the large snowflake that she used as her circle element too! Super cute page Nicole!

September Sketch: card

A fun card sketch today....

Pink Polka Dots
by Tracy

I love the rows of similar patterned paper that Tracy used throughout her card. She even managed to incorporate a journaling jotter from our sponsor, Creative Chaos into her design today! Fabulous card Tracy!

Happy Birthday Bugs
by Tina

I love that Tina was thinking outside the box for her cute card! Look at all those cool, chipboard shapes that she used instead of circles in her design! She also has used one of our sponsor's wonderful tags to place her card's greeting on the front! Awesome card Tina!

September Sketch: 12x12

Here we are... the first sketch of September! Enjoy!

Trick or Sweet
by Nicole
For Nicole's fabulous page, I love that she included 3 photos and made room for journaling close to her photos. I'm lovin' those bright lime circles over the quilted effect of her patterned paper pieces. Gorgeous layout Nicole!

Library Love
by Jenn S.

For Jenn's page, I like the fact that she flip the sketch and then used the patterned paper pieces as her mini frames for her mini photos. Lovin' the colour scheme she used with her beautiful sepia photos too! Wonderful page Jenn! Jen has used some of the wonderful journaling jotters generously given to all our designers this month from Creative Chaos.

Oh Thank Heaven for Little Ones
by Jen B.

Awww... for this sweet page by Jen, I love the scalloped frame she added to her single photo page. That pop of lime green just brings that sweet photo of her son some wow facter! Beautiful and adorable page Jen!

April Sketch: 12x12

A fun 12x12 sketch filled with with lots of patches....

Beautiful Eyes
by Kristii

Kristii has created this beautiful page using all the elements of the design. To make room for her journaling, she's placed it on some of the back ground patches. She moved her photo to the opposite of the focal area of the sketch sketch to make room for her beautiful title element, the rose. Stunning page Kristii!

What Makes Me Laugh; This Face
by Tonya

Tonya has incorporated all kinds of fun patches of patterned papers to her design. She's also used one of the Creative Chaos' journaling jotters as part of her title. To break up all the straight lines of the sketch, Tonya has used a fun circle embellishment to write on her journaling. A super fun page Tonya!

April Sketch: Square Card

A pretty flutter by card sketch for you today....

Ticket for Two
by Leah

Leah used the sketch to a "T". I love her added punched detail and the pretty butterfly image she used. Leah also used one of the fun tickets from Creative Chaos as part of her card. Fabulous card Leah!

April Sketch: Circle Page

A fun circle page sketch for you....

The Fridge
by Jana P.

Jana has taken the basic design from the circular sketch and applied directly to her 12x12 page. She has used all 6 places for her fabulous photos and has added a bit of whimsy using all of her ornate chipboard flourishes. To incorporate her journaling, she used a fun shaped tag as part of the sketch. Fabulous page Jana!

Have Your Cake & Eat it Too
by Abbie

For Abbie's page, she has taken the photo area of the sketch and off set it within her circular frame on her 12x12 page. She's also replaced some of the photos from the sketch design to help make room for her fun title. Gorgeous page Abbie!

Abbie has used a few of Creative Chaos' fun labels in her design. She's used one to journal on and the other, an arrow label, she's used to draw your eye to her smaller photos.

April Sketch: Square Card

A fun square card for you today....

Thank You Teacher
by Dawne

Dawne has used this fun card sketch with some fun added texture and bling. She's scalloped the edge of her white cardstock and added a pretty blossom and stem to her cute card. She's also incorporated one of Creative Chaos' journaling jotters as her focal greeting to her card. Wonderful card Dawne!

And yes... the sketch numbers will be out of order this month!

April Sketch: 8.5x11

A very simple 8.5x11 sketch for you today....

Giggle
by Kristii

To make her 12x12 page fit the sketch, Kristii took the sketch and dropped inside multiple frames. She used all the elements of the sketch and the fun and bright stems and flowers to draw your eye towards her sweet photo. Wonderful page Kristii!

Kristii has used some of the wonderful jotters from Creative Chaos on her page. She's used one of the large jotters for additional journaling and tucked it under her tittle block. She also used one of her elements within her journaling, "oh happy day".

Perfect Rose
by Wendy

Wendy created her page using the sketch by blowing up her elements like her photo and her title block to fit her needs. She's used a doodled frame paper around her page just like Kristii has to frame her sweet daughter's photo. Gorgeous page Wendy!
